HisaabBox ("we", "us") provides a business management platform for shops and wholesalers, covering inventory, GST-ready billing, purchases, and a customer credit ledger (khata/udhaar). This policy explains what information we collect when you use HisaabBox, how it's used, and how it's protected.
Account information: name, username, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
Business information: business name, address, tax registration details (e.g. GSTIN where applicable), and your chosen country/currency/tax settings.
Data you enter into the app: products, stock levels, purchases, sales, invoices, and information about your own customers and suppliers that you choose to record (such as names, phone numbers, and credit/khata balances). This data belongs to your business — we store it on your behalf to provide the service.
Usage data: we use Google Analytics on our public marketing pages to understand traffic (e.g. page views, general location at a city/country level). We do not use analytics tracking inside the logged-in application.
To provide and operate the service, authenticate your account, send transactional emails (password resets, email verification, and replies to messages you send us), and to maintain and improve the product. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.
Every business's data is isolated at the database level — one business can never read another business's products, customers, or sales through the application. Passwords are hashed, never stored or emailed in plain text. All traffic is served over HTTPS.
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate HisaabBox: hosting (Vercel for the web app, Render for the backend API and database), transactional email delivery (Resend), and website analytics (Google Analytics). Each processes only the minimum data needed for its function.
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details below and we will process the request.
You can access, correct, or export most of your business data directly within the app (including CSV export). You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
HisaabBox is a business tool intended for shop owners and staff, and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
